Parks & Outdoor

For sure Rome is the city of wonders of art, a stunning open-air museum where one can find masterpieces at almost every corner. However, just a few know that Rome is the greenest city in Italy and second in Europe only to Oslo, Norway.

Overall, the green spaces in Rome occupy more than 1,000 hectares (2471 acres).

In the heart of Rome, Villa Borghese Park extends for over 85 hectares (210 acres). On the other bank of the Tiber stands the Gianicolo Hill with its 20 hectares (50 acres). Not far there’s the biggest park in Rome, Villa Pamphili, with 200 hectares (494 acres).

And this is just the beginning!
